W00T! ‘I Spy’ fanfic! There should definitely be more ‘I Spy’ fanfic. Reading this just brought back all of my old love for the show. It’s a mid-sized read, a coda to the episode ‘It’s All Done With Mirrors’, in which Kelly was brainwashed in an effort to get him to kill Scotty. Kelly resisted- just barely- but now it’s up to Scotty to deal with his damaged partner while keeping the brass from pulling Kelly in. Now, there’s not so much action in the actual story, it’s largely a h/c bit where Scotty has to ferret out some deep secrets Kelly doesn’t want to face. However, it’s strongly written, gets at the bond between the two men in a perfect way, has characterizations I could definitely see, and it’s ‘I Spy’ fic. W00T! Go read it- and then write some more of it. Man, this is a fandom that should be rife with fic!
