This is a Buffy/Angel vid.  Sort of.  It’s also a humor vid.  Definitely.  It is positively a very clever, very fun vid, and it’s put together with a very sure hand.  The basic premise?  Angel is infected.  This has ramifications for his relationship with Buffy.  Serious, serious, ramifications.  Hee!  Highly recommended, particularly for those with a twisted sense of humor.  Like me!

Visceral reaction:  Every time I watch this vid, I am more impressed with the clip choices and the editing.  Love how it kicks off with a sappy kiss- then the breaking glass sound followed by the ‘breaking balls’ scene.  Damn- now that’s a hook!!!  Oh, no!  Angel’s disease is vampirism!!!  Hee- neat.  ‘Can’t concentrate on work’ line with the bazooka scene- great choice! Oh- and he has his shirt off.  I always enjoy him more when he is sans clothing.  I like how that washing off scene was sped up- timed well to music and frenetic like the tune.  Nice structure to this whole vid- like how it segues to ‘romantic’ memories with the ‘two weeks ago’.  Love the breaking glass and the splashing scenes as we crescendo- throughout the vid, I keep really liking the weaving of the song to the clips.  ‘Wowie’s’ with the scenes of dancing cut with scenes of fighting- I love that!  Freaking love the timing on that bit with Dru- when he’s holding her, then kind of ‘pop’ as she shifts to face him.  Timed really well to the music.  I dig internal movement to the beat.  More ‘wowies’ and fighting- again, the movement in the clips fits the beat really nicely.  My favorite part- ‘libedo gone beserk’ to the Spike kiss- cracks my shit up every time!!!  Again, kick ass timing and pairing of clips and movement on crescendo.  Nice ending with Angel sucked into demon- then more fun ‘wowies’.  I can watch goofy dancing Angle all day long!  Dig the ‘Was it good for you too?’ final clip far more than I should.  Damn- there’s a hell of a lot going on in this vid- really, really well done!

It’s pretty obvious I dig this video.  I love clever, and this vid is very clever.  The basic premise appeals to me and the song choice is a great one to ‘hang’ it on.  The more I watch this vid, the more I’m impressed with all of the little touches that pull it together.  There is a hell of a lot going on in this vid- and I really like a lot of the timing and how the movement within the clips is matched up to the song.  This vid just strikes me as very well crafted, yet it’s done in such a way as to not call attention to how much work it must have taken to create it.  Good stuff.
