Oh, yessssss.  This video kicks ass and takes name- and so does the featured character Lila.  This is just such a clever concept and a brilliant execution and a big giant shitload of FUN!  This is a vid I watch over and over to catch all of the nuances.  The clip choice is bloody brilliant and I would have NEVER thought this song was vidable.  Watching this makes me despair of ever being a really great vidder- but it makes me glad other folks are!

Viscerel reaction- Hee.  Rec it!  Damn- I’m digging a lot of Angel vids, and I know approximately jack shit about the show.  Pretty show.  Hee- helps that I dig MM.  Nice slidy movement right at beginning and good reactions to ‘guess who’s back’.  Kick ass concept.  Lila freaking rocks.  ‘On the rag’ part cracked me up.  Also digging the ‘posing’ scenes (thumbs up, strutting.  Lila struts good.  Hand poses later on.) Ha- does Angel really listen to Elvis?  Good damn song- like the hard beat, cuts rock, nice movement- like before the ‘shh’- and ‘shh’ worked well.  Humor, but telling a story.  Got a little confused with the Connor stuff on the end but that’s probably my lack of knowledge about the show.  Evil should always be this perky!

Rambling on- I can’t identify a single thing that makes this video work so well for me.  It’s really the combination of the whole thing- concept, song, clips, execution.  It all just holds together so well as a consistent whole and makes me just love this character (Lila).  I don’t even know who Lila IS as I didn’t watch Angel when she was on.  However, this vid makes me feel like I know her- or WANT to know her!  She’s just so cocky and ‘strutty’.  Is strutty a word?  Should be.  It fits her as does this song.  The clips just make me love her- all of those little self-depreciating ‘who, me?’ movements, the sly smiles, the way she owns the screen when she’s on it.  Makes me want to go watch early Angel.  All vids should kick this much ass.
